New Zealand, called "The land of the long white cloud", is a country of stunning and diverse natural beauty which includes: jagged mountains, steep fjords, pristine lakes, raging rivers, scenic beaches, and active volcanic features. New Zealand is made up of two main islands, the North and South Islands, Te Ika a Maui and Te Wai Pounamu respectively in Māori, and a number of smaller islands, located near the centre of the water hemisphere. The capital is Wellington and the largest city is Auckland.

New Zealand is notable for its geographic isolation; it is situated about 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) southeast of Australia across the Tasman Sea, and its closest neighbors to the north are New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga.

The majority of New Zealand's population is of European descent; the indigenous Māori are the largest minority. Asians and non-Māori Polynesians are also significant minority groups, especially in urban areas. The most commonly spoken language is English. Most people live around New Zealand's coastline and in the north. The climate throughout the country is mild and temperate, mainly maritime, with mean annual temperatures ranging from 10°C in the south to 16°C in the north. The New Zealand Dollar, informally known as the "Kiwi Dollar", is the currency of New Zealand. Christianity is the predominant religion in New Zealand.

Cost Of Study & Living

New Zealand offers a wide range of educational programs for aspirants. They range from Certificate Programs to Post Graduate Programs. The duration for these programs varies from 6 months to 3 years depending upon the program. The tuition fees for the same vary from 9950 to 30000NZD per year or Rs.437800 to Rs.1320000.Elligible candidates can avail scholarships for certain programs. Tuition Fee:

  • I year program - Tuition Fee will be 9950NZD to 30000NZD or Rs.437800 to Rs.1320000
  • II year program - Tuition Fee will be 19900NZD to 60000NZD or Rs.875600to Rs.2640000
  • III year program- Tuition Fee will be 29850NZD to 90000NZD or Rs.1313400 to Rs.3960000

Total Living Expense:

The total living expense for an International student will be approximately around 10000NZD per year which includes rent, food, transportation, personal expenses and other miscellaneous expenses. This figure is subject to change depending upon the lifestyle of the student, location and the type of accommodation He / She chooses which may vary from the College or University accommodation to renting a flat on one's own.
